An advertising campaign in some of Ukraine’s most populous cities is now aiming to attract new traders to the world’s largest digital asset exchange, Binance. The Eastern European nation is known as a promising market and a leader in terms of cryptocurrency adoption.
Binance ads appear on trains and trolleys in Ukraine
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has embarked on a mission to lure more Ukrainian traders to its world-leading coin trading platform. The company recently launched a nationwide campaign showing Binance ads to residents of the capital Kiev and residents of the country’s three largest cities Kharkiv, Odessa and Lviv.
Organizers Now Playing Binance Ad Clips on Intercity Trains Connecting These Cities, Forklog Reported. A video posted on a YouTube show shows ads on the train’s infotainment system under the slogans “Blogger by Day, Trader by Night” and “Designer by Day, Trader by Night”. The ad asks crypto users to “trust the best” and “join the community” among travelers.
Advertisements for Binance have also appeared on public transport vehicles in cities. A photo posted by a crypto news outlet shows a sticker reading “Today with a trolley, tomorrow with a Gaelic” on a trolleybus branded with the Binance logo and colors. The text is accompanied by a picture of a luxury SUV, with Gaelic being a slang term for the posh Mercedes-Benz G-Class (Gelandwagen).
The First Crypto Signs Not in Ukraine Friendly to Bitcoin
This is not the first time Ukraine’s mass transit has displayed crypto-related messages. About two years ago, LED signs flashing the text “Bitcoin to the Moon” were seen on a tramcar in the city of Vinnytsia, as did Bitcoin.com news. Reported. Pro-Bitcoin boards were mounted on a new Win Way tram, manufactured locally by Vinnitsa Transport Company.
Ukraine has emerged as a crypto-friendly destination over the years. Chainalysis ranked First country in over 150 countries in last year’s edition of its Global Crypto Adoption Index. The government in Kiev is working with the crypto industry Assignment or Project to issue a central bank digital currency, and Public Radio of Ukraine recently broadcast a podcast Episode dedicated to bitcoin.
In 2019, the world’s largest crypto exchange by daily volume signed on A Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to collaborate on the establishment of a legal framework for cryptocurrency and other digital assets. Last year, Binance Offered Option for users to deposit and withdraw fiat amount in Ukrainian hryvnia using bank card.
