On Friday, well-known non-profit Charitywater.org announced the launch of a celebrity-funded Bitcoin Water Trust initiative. The trust will be allowed to donate bitcoins to fund water projects around the world until 2025.
Charity Water Launches Bitcoin Water Trust
Several announcements were made at the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami and one announcement was made by a global safe drinking water non-profit organization, Charity Water. The organization Charity Water is a non-profit organization that helps provide clean and safe drinking water to citizens living in developing countries. On June 4, the charity Water revealed a celebrity-funded Bitcoin Water Trust initiative that aims to leverage bitcoin (B T c) to spark a “paradigm shift in the charitable sector adopting this digital asset”.
The charity said that it received its first bitcoin donation in 2014 and since then the value of the leading crypto asset has increased more than 100 times. Per the announcement, the Bitcoin Water Trust has opened donations for celebrities and veterans who wish to donate at least 1 B T c for each fund. The founders of the Gemini Exchange were the first 50. planning to match B T c donated.
Members of the Bitcoin Water Trust of Charity Water who are part of the “Founder 100” include celebrities such as Meltem Demirors of CoinShares, Galaxy Digital. mike novogratz, Etoro’s Vagina Asiya, pro-skateboarder Tony Hawk, even more.

Tony Hawk also spoke about how he has supported the charity Water for many years and has seen firsthand the efforts of the group in Africa.

I am honored to be supporting the Bitcoin Water Trust,” Hawk commented. “I believe bitcoin has serious charitable growth potential. I look forward to seeing the fund flourish by 2025, giving millions more people access to clean water,” said the popular skateboarder.
