The infamous Dogecoin will be open for trading on the popular trading platform Coinbase Pro on Thursday, June 3. In mid-May, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong revealed that the meme-inspired crypto asset would be listed in six to eight weeks. Adding Dogecoin to Coinbase Pro only took 18 days, but the coin has not yet been added to the consumer app Coinbase.com.
Coinbase Pro Opens Dogecoin Gate
Cryptocurrency traders can start depositing Dogecoin (DOGE) into their Coinbase Pro accounts today blog post Published on Tuesday. If liquidity conditions are met, trading will begin at 9 a.m. (PT) on June 3.
Coinbase noted during the announcement that it takes great care to look for crypto assets that meet its standards. The exchange recently added support for tokens such as 1inch (1INCH), Enjin Coin (ENJ), Internet Computer (ICP), Cartesi (CTSI), and iexec (RLC).
Coinbase Pro will tweet about Dogecoin order book moves in stages. “Once a sufficient supply of DOGE is established on the platform, our DOGE-USD, DOGE-B T c, DOGE-EUR, DOGE-GBP, and DOGE-USDT The order book will launch in three phases,” Coinbase notes.
According to the company’s announcement details, “If at any time one of the new order books does not meet our assessment for a healthy and orderly market, we may keep the book in a state for a longer period or suspend trading.” can do.”
Coinbase also explains what Dogecoin is in a short paragraph and notes that it has a Shiba Inu logo. “Unlike bitcoin, which is designed to be scarce, Dogecoin is intentionally abundant – 10,000 new coins are minted every minute and there is no maximum supply,” explains the Coinbase blog post.
DOGE has had an unprecedented 2021, as the crypto asset is up 561% in the past 90 days and 12-month data shows Dogecoin has increased by 12,506%. The meme-inspired currency, like many other coins in recent days, has plummeted in value after touching an all-time high 25 days ago.
At the time, a single DOGE was exchanging hands for $0.737 per unit. According to the exchange rate today, the value of Dogecoin is down by 53.73% to $0.341 per unit.
