Southdown Dental, a clinic in Mississauga, Ontario, is offering a new paid the option. Patients will soon be able to pay for its services with cryptocurrencies. The dental clinic says it will charge digital money for any procedure from routine check-ups to braces for children.
Canadian Dental Clinic Meets Growing Demand for Crypto Acceptance
Dental Clinic is stepping into the crypto world to address the “growing positive sentiment towards cryptocurrency”. Its management noted the increasing use of digital coins in Canada’s consumer and service industry. Clinique explained in a press release that cryptocurrencies provide users with autonomy, reduce transaction fees, and facilitate quick and easy payments.
Southdown Dental Canada’s most populous province, Ontario, serves Mississauga residents in the Greater Toronto Area. The clinic, which was established in 1989, prides itself on being an “early adopter of innovations” in the dental field, utilizing the latest available technologies to provide the best care to its patients. Dentistry said:
Southdown Dental is excited to be a part of this movement and meet the growing demand from Canadians for greater cryptocurrency acceptance, given the increase in the use of cryptocurrency.
The dental center also acknowledged that many patients do not have full coverage for some of the more expensive procedures. And in these unpredictable times, Clinique says, they may want to keep their cash in their bank accounts and spend some of their crypto holdings instead. with the recent exception Market Correction, the value of cryptocurrencies has been rising since last year.

Southdown Dental offers its customers financing, if they need it, various payment plans, and a variety of payment options which now become even more so with the addition of crypto payments. The press release did not mention the coins backed but Dr. Kal Khalid, co-owner of the clinic, assured:
Be it routine checkups, surgical procedures or braces, our patients will be able to choose traditional payment methods or cryptocurrencies going forward.
“It is an exciting change to become the first Canadian dental clinic to leap into a new field that will provide our patients with new options during very uncertain times,” said his partner, Dr. Bob Wawrouts.
According to a report by Canadian local news outlet The Daily Hive, quoted coinmap Downtown Dental Hygiene Clinic also in Data, Toronto accept cryptocurrency. But even though Southdown Dental isn’t the first to take up crypto in this area, it’s certainly one of the pioneers.
